ACTS is an emerging jazz trio based around an unusual sound of vibraphone with effects, acoustic bass guitar and drums. Their music is spacious and heartfelt, with a repertoire that leads the listener with its dreamlike nostalgia, immersive soundscapes and rhythmic intensity bordering on prog territory.

 

ACTS released their first album “The Unconscious” in the fall of 2024 through the Chicago based label ears&eyes records, accompanied by a two week tour in Norway, Germany and the Netherlands. The album is an exploration of the first musical meeting of the trio, consisting of unreleased and new tunes written specifically for this formation, the listener finds a series of varying landscapes and emotions, expressed through complex melodies and forms. With confidence the trio explores each other's compositions with an established electroacoustic sound and great sensibility in playing with each other.
